What is chiropractic care and how does it work?

Chiropractic care is a drug-free, nonsurgical healthcare approach focused on diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal conditions — particularly those involving the spine. Dr. Kline uses hands-on adjustments and complementary therapies to correct spinal misalignments (subluxations), relieve nerve pressure, reduce pain, and restore normal function. When the spine is properly aligned, the nervous system can communicate effectively with the rest of the body, supporting overall health. Learn more on our Chiropractic Care page.

What conditions does Kline Chiropractic & Wellness treat?

We treat a wide range of musculoskeletal and nervous system conditions, including back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, disc herniation and bulge, whiplash, auto accident injuries, sprains and strains, and pain in the arms or legs. We also support patients dealing with chronic pain, poor posture, and those seeking general wellness care. View our full list of services for details.

Is chiropractic care safe?

Yes. Chiropractic has an excellent safety record and is widely recognized as one of the safest forms of healthcare for musculoskeletal conditions. Dr. Kline always discusses your adjustment plan before beginning and selects the technique best suited to your health history, comfort level, and goals.

Does chiropractic care hurt?

Most patients experience relief — not pain — during their adjustments. Some people feel mild soreness for a day or two after their first few visits, similar to post-workout muscle fatigue. Dr. Kline will walk you through exactly what she plans to do before your adjustment so you always know what to expect.

How many chiropractic visits will I need?

This depends on your condition, how long you’ve had it, and your personal health goals. Many patients notice meaningful improvement within the first few weeks of care. Dr. Kline will outline a realistic care plan at your initial visit and adjust it based on your progress. You are always free to stop care at any time.

Do I need a referral to see Dr. Kline?

No referral is required to become a patient at Kline Chiropractic & Wellness. You can call us at (703) 680-4344, walk in, or request an appointment online. Same-day visits are available.

What should I bring to my first chiropractic appointment?

Bring your insurance card, a photo ID, and any completed intake paperwork from our Online Forms page. If you have recent imaging such as X-rays or MRI results, bring those as well. Wear comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement.

How long does the first visit take?

Your first appointment at Kline Chiropractic & Wellness typically takes 90 minutes to two hours. This includes a full health consultation, comprehensive physical examination, review of Dr. Kline’s findings, and your first chiropractic adjustment. Visit our New Patients page for more details.
